Function: Penn State Cooperative Extension in Forest County gives local residents easy access to the resources and expertise of the Pennsylvania State University. Through educational programs, publications, and events, cooperative extension agents deliver unbiased, research-based information to Forest County citizens.

Office Location/Hours: The Cooperative Extension offices are located in the “Forest County Island Complex” on Lighthouse Island (former Tionesta Sand & Gravel Island) off Highland Street in Tionesta. The offices are opened to the public from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Program Areas: Nancy Yergin oversees programs in Family Living, Nutrition, Health, and Food Safety; Jennifer Grooms oversees programs in 4-H and Youth Development; and programs in Forestry and Natural Resources are directed by Scott Weikert.
